Discover the huge range handmade, onsite daily in The Apley Bakery, including cakes, tray bakes & scones. We sell all our cakes in the Farm Shop or you can enjoy them with a pot of Lord Hamilton’s tea in the Apley Kitchen Cafe.
Our bakers create cakes from well-known, traditional recipes such as Victoria Sponge cakes, as well as new & unusual ones. We’re always breaking new ground, whilst consistently using fresh, local ingredients from Shropshire’s finest food producers. Our cakes are presented in attractive white, recyclable cardboard boxes & make perfect presents to offer to colleagues, friends & family.
Our scones are widely renowned for being irresistible & change with the seasons – plain scones, fruit scones, & specials such as lemon & Blueberry. They are offered as part of our Afternoon Teas all year round.
Desserts & Tarts
Whether you’re sharing or keeping it for yourself, our bakery makes the perfect seasonal sweet treats such as Bread & Butter pudding, Apley Cheesecakes, Tarts, Crumbles & Triffle.
Made fresh 3 times a week, our baker’s Brownies, Flapjacks & Rocky Roads are the most delicious treat for old & young! Our Baker’s make special traybakes for events, such as Blondies, Baileys Brownies & Aero Rocky Road.
Patisserie & croissants
Apley Patisserie range changes throughout the year & includes these strawberry-filled choux buns in the summer months. Apley Farm Shop stocks frozen croissants & other patisseries from Field Fare, easy to bake at home.
